Joana is a Portuguese actor born in Lisbon in 1996. Her acting journey started in late 2019 with an “Introduction to Dramatic Expression” course, in Lisbon, and continued in September 2021 when she enrolled in the Screen Acting program at Catalyst Institute for Creative Arts and Technology, in Berlin.
She has been a part of 15 short films, in a variety of genres, including drama, thriller, and comedy. She also has experience in theater, with the live performance of Jean-Paul Sartre’s ‘No Exit’, directed by Sebastian Weißbach.
She speaks Portuguese (mother tongue) and English (fluent), is learning German and has a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. She practiced artistic roller skating for eight years and her hobbies include watching movies, reading and travelling.
